A guided fitness program is an essential part of the LaVida program. We combine stretching activities, aerobics, anaerobics, strength and conditioning for optimal results.

The Well-fit program includes G.A.P classes, aerobic classes, aquatic exercises, core training, breathing exercises, cardio resistance training, latin cardio, meditation, outdoor routines including walking through the labyrinth and so much more!

FITNESS EVALUATION

A Fitness Evaluation is an assessment used to determine your current fitness level. It is not a test, rather it is a series of measurements that help determine physical fitness level. Depending upon the results, other tests may be added to achieve a greater picture of fitness or lack thereof. The main tests in a fitness assessment evaluate body mass index, resting heart rate, & blood pressure. The evaluation also determines the level of health-related fitness components including: body composition, flexibility, muscular strength, endurance &  aerobic capacity.

Once determined, a personalized fitness program can be designed just for you. Your new fitness and health goals will be based on your areas in most need of improvement to create balance within the body.

Kaytee Yoga

 VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa Flow is a practice where postures are connected through the breath for a transformative and balancing effect. Classes build heat, endurance, flexibility, & strength, all while leaving you relaxed & rejuvenated. The creative sequencing found in a vinyasa class are built around sun salutations and repetition to perfect the positions. This is a multi-level class & is open to all levels of practice & abilities.

AEROBICS

Aerobics is a type of physical exercise that integrates rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the objective of improving all elements of fitness including: flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness.  Aerobic exercises burn fat faster than any other type of exercise. At LaVida, we offer a variety of fun aerobics classes to get your blood flowing and fat burning.

AQUATIC EXERCISE

Aquatic exercise offers many unique benefits and is safe for people of all ages. Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your joints, while offering natural resistance, which helps strengthen your muscles. These classes are open even to non-swimmers!

ALL ABOUT ABS

Designed to target your torso working all aspects of the abs and back, sculpting your abs into shape and strengthening your core, which is the key to your overall strength.

G.A.P

This versatile circuit class is designed for groups at various fitness levels. It focuses on training the glutes, abs & legs using various different exercise techniques at interval times.

BREATHING EXERCISES

Our body listens to our breath. If we breath calmly and with awareness, our body will respond calmly and with awareness. Controlled breathing not only keeps the mind and body functioning at their best, it can also lower blood pressure, promote feelings of calmness & relaxation and help us de-stress.

CARDIO RESISTANCE TRAINING

Burn calories and build muscle all in one with Cardio Resistance Training. In this class, we combine cardio exercises and resistance training into one to get your heart rate at an optimum level for fat burning and your muscles working to build strength.

CARDIO LATINO DANCE

Move, groove, burn & lose! What makes Cardio Latino Dance different from simply taking a dance class is that the moves are tailored to increase heart rate. This is done by incorporating arm movements, dancing with vigor and enjoying the motion!

OUTDOORS WORKOUT

Enjoy the outdoors while strengthening your muscles and building endurance. This workout is designed to do a full body workout in a short period of time in the beauty of nature. This circuit involves alternating a low-impact cardio exercise with high-impact, while combining strength building moves, so you get the benefits of both cardio and strength in one simple workout. This workout is great for beginner or intermediate exercisers.

HIKING

Enjoy some of the amazing hiking trails Boquete has to offer. Breath the fresh mountain air, explore the beautiful flora & fauna.And feel the health benefits of hiking including: losing excess weight, decreasing hypertension, and improving mental health.

REFLECTION IN THE LABYRINTH

The labyrinth is an archetype, a divine imprint, found in all religious traditions in various forms around the world. The path winds throughout and becomes a mirror for where we are in our lives. It touches our sorrows and releases our joys. Walk it with an open mind and an open heart. Quiet your mind and become aware of your breath. Allow yourself to find the pace your body wants to go.

Three stages of the walk

  • Release ~ A releasing, a letting go of the details of your life. This is the act of shedding thoughts and distractions. A time to open the heart and quiet the mind.
  • Receive ~ When you reach the center, stay there as long as you like. It is a place of meditation and prayer. Receive what is there for you to receive.
  • Return United ~ As you leave, following the same path out of the center as you came in, you enter the third stage, which is the joining God, your Higher Power, or the healing forces at work in the world. Each time you walk the labyrinth you become more empowered to find and do the work for which you feel your soul is reaching.
